Maryland Nike Rush '93 rising U17 Boys will be holding tryouts on Monday July 19th from 5:30 until 8:00PM at Moore field in Bowie. Directions to Moore Field can be found by clicking on the Manager's Desk link on the left. We are looking for a few strong players to help shore up the team in order to perform our best at the College Showcases and tournaments we are targeting in the Fall through Spring seasons. Columbia Invitational '08 CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to the coach and team on becoming this years U14 Champions of the Columbia Invitational in Columbia MD. We've overachieved our goal this season of winning at least one tournament!
Spring Breakout Capitol Cup '08 CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to the coach and team on becoming this years U14 Champions of the Freestate Capitol Cup in Bowie. Four hard fought and well played games lead us to victory. Great start to the season. Well done!

'07 CASL Shootout Champions!
Congratulations Bravehearts!!! The Bravehearts finished the tournament as champions in the 2007 CASL Shootout, Raleigh, NC-U14 Premier Silver Division. Great Job Bravehearts!

***TRYOUTS***
The BRAVEHEARTS Will be holding open tryouts on June 7, 12, and 14, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm each night. We are searching for highly motivated and skilled field players and a goalie who are willing to make the commitment to the hard work and dedication necessary to compete at the highest levels.
The BRAVEHEARTS primary practice and home fields are in Bowie, MD. Please contact the Team Manager, George Dryhurst fsbravehearts@gmail.com for more information on tryouts.

***Updates***
The calendar has been updated with the Spring NCSL schedule and the State Cup schedule. Several articles have been added to the Coach's Corner. They contain some good information and are definitely worth a read. The Photo's page has been updated with the Capital Cup pictures and game 1 of the NCSL Spring season. Game pictures will be added as the season progresses.

***Updated Schedule Information***
The calendar has been updated to reflect the practice schedule through March. With the change to daylight savings time we're moving outside.
Beyond March we are anticipating on a Tuesday/Thursday practice schedule through the Spring season, but we will not know for sure until field allocations are completed. As soon as field allocations are made practice dates, times and fields will be posted.
Also added to the calendar are the dates for the US Club Soccer tournament dates. The Region B Tournament is June 23-26 and is held in Pittsgrove, NJ. If we are successful at regionals we would advance to the National Championship held in Greensboro NC July 21-24.

Please welcome Collin Potter and Joseph Fisher to the Bravehearts family. Both boys have shown the determination and ability to be contributing members of the team. The boys are excited about becoming Bravehearts and are looking forward getting into their new red jerseys.

***New Head Coach***
The Bravehearts welcome our new head coach, Bill Heiser. Coach Heiser has excellent experience as a player representing the United States in the 1989 U-17 World Championships in Scotland and has played on every level of the Olympic Development Program (State/Regional/National). He is also an educational leader with outstanding success working with youth and college players. The Bravehearts are excited to start working with Coach Heiser in preparation for the upcoming Spring NCSL season.
Judah Cooks departs our team after coaching for two seasons. Coach Cooks was recently promoted within the DC United organizations Youth Development Program. His roles as Program Assistant and Assistant Coach to the Boys U16 team for the DC United Youth Development Program will require significant time commitments and would limit his time with his Bravehearts team. As a result, he decided to step down as Coach. The Bravehearts appreciate Coach Cooks time and leadership, and wish him all the best in his new role with DC United. We're sure he will be successful.
